The wedding

We met in South Africa in March 2007. Don had already made plans to
fly back to the UK. A few weeks after we met, we drove to Tofo
Mozambique for a romantic tropical holiday. That's where we fell in
love..... It seems only fitting that we returned to the place that stole our
hearts to start the rest of our lives.
Our wedding day will be Saturday the 1st May 2010.
Planning
We love the coast and have been dreaming of a bare-footed beach wedding since
we got engaged. Planning a wedding almost a year in advance is no easy task. The
plans must be done-and-dusted before we leave on our trip. Our wedding day
is going to reflect our personality and our outlook on life. We are getting
hitched in a very non-traditional way. We will declare our love and
commitment to each other in a way that is very dear to our hearts and have a
huge party to celebrate.
Our closest friends and family will either be driving or flying to join us
for a week before the wedding day.
13.12.09
I am very secretive about the wedding plans so there isn't alot of info here.
Our wedding is also going to be very laid back and it hasn't been planned down
to the serviette holders. Hopefully it will be a cool party though.
Heather had a dress fitting yesterday, all is coming on beautifully. Her mum
is going to take the dress home to South Africa and drive it up to Mozambique
for the wedding in May.
Our family and friends will be meeting us in Tofo for a week or so before the
wedding, so watch this space for updates until then.
Venue
The wedding will take place at a resort called Mango beach. The ceremony will take place
on the beach at sunset. We will celebrate until the wee hours in the restaurant
area. We will feast on fresh local fish and wash it all down with lekker
local beer. Our kinda party!
